Michael scared by gay-sauna jibes

British singer George Michael was scared to admit to friends he met partner Kenny Goss in a sauna, because he knew they would realise he was gay.

The then closeted homosexual Faith star told pals he met his partner of 11 years at a high class American department store - as he felt if he told them the truth, they would question his sexual orientation.

Goss explains: "We have two stories. There's the one that we tell people and the one in which we actually met. There's a really posh spa called the Beverly Hot Springs.

"It's a very straight, above board spa, but if we tell people we met in spa, they always get the wrong idea. So we tell them we met at (boutique) Fred Segal."

The fact that he was dating a man, wasn't a giveaway then?
