ACTRESS Keira Knightley has said that she prefers English men to their American counterparts because, apparently they're less vain.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean beauty is dating English actor Rupert Friend and finds that his relaxed and easy-going nature is rather refreshing.

She says: "Ask an American what his beauty regime is and he'll tell you. Ask a Brit and he'll say: 'Er, Guinness?' I like that."
