Elton John To Build an Art Gallery At His Home.

MUSIC LEGEND Sir Elton John plans to demolish part of his $16 million English mansion and replace it with an art gallery to "rival the Louvre".

The singer has amassed an art collection, which is apparently worth tens of millions of dollars, and wants to showcase his vast collection in his Berkshire home, reports English tabloid 'The Sun'.

A friend of the "Rocket Man" singer says, "Elton has many works of art, from the 18th century to the modern day, and an incredibly valuable collection of over 3,000 photos. There is hardly a famous name who is not captured by the world's finest photographers.

"He spends most of his time in Windsor now, so he's decided to gather them in one place so he can enjoy them."
