Josh Holloway to star in X-Men?
'Lost' star, Josh Holloway, who plays the conman Sawyer in the cult plane crash TV series, has been approached by studio bosses to play Gambit - a mutant who can charge objects with kinetic energy and make them explode.
He told TV Hits magazine: "We had a meeting and they wanted me to play Gambit, the card dealer character, they thought I'd be perfect for the part. We'll see."
Holloway's announcement has confirmed rumours 20th Century Fox are to make another film after the success of the previous three instalments.
The 37-year-old actor is keen to play a superhero because he wants to wear a pair of tights.
Holloway said: "I would love to play a superhero. I'd love to wear a cape and tights!"
The hunky star isn't worried about performing his own stunts if he lands the role, because he is a real-life action man.
He explained: "I hike and kayak and I have a boat, because I enjoy fishing. I grew up in the mountains where it's all lakes and streams, so a lot of my life has been an adventure getting to know the ocean."

Perhaps the greater crime, is that he can't play Wolverine. I know it seems tacky, but they seem to play his character on Lost similar to Logan from the books (angry outsider, untrusted, plays by his own rules, a killer, a redneck)...
More importantly, couldn't they get Matt Fox to play Scott "Cyclops" Summers? There's some casting that almost films itself...

Actually I think Holloway would be the perfect choice. If you know anything about the Gambit character you know that he too was/is an outsider, plays by his own rules, and was/is a member of the Thieves Guild. He's not as angry as Wolverine but is still a brooding horndog (relentlessly chased after Rogue). This sounds a great deal like the Sawyer character. I must say though, that's why they call it acting. Its also been reported that not everyone from the first 3 films will be reprising their roles, so who is to tell when these stories will take place and with whom. I am anxious to find out, and if the plot and storytelling are anything in league with what Singer did in the first 2 I am the first one in line for a ticket!

Josh Holloway is perfect of Gambit! He can talk big mouth and can fight with his bo stick and his mutant, who can charge objects with kinetic energy and make them explode. He would be good character in the Wolverine or X-Men 4.
Hugh Jackman and Josh Holloway would be great team. I loved read on X-Men comic books and Wolverine and Gambit were damn good fighters.
