Kelly Clarkson dismisses album rumors

American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson has dismissed reports that her new album was ditched by record executives, insisting that the rumors are unfounded.

The singer apparently left her label bosses at RCA and Sony BMG unimpressed with her latest efforts on her forthcoming album "My December" - but the "Because of you" star shrugged off the claims.

Rumors were flying earlier this month that Kelly Clarkson had returned to the studio to re-record the tracks, but the Breakaway star admits she's used to the negative publicity.

She tells MTV, "This time everybody made a big deal about the record, but that's happened with everyone of my records.

"I've never once compromised myself. I don't think you should, that's when you start to lose fans and credibility. I think you definitely need to keep doing what you love, because I'm the one that needs to sing it every night."
