McEntire slates Paris & Britney

Country Singer Reba McEntire dropped the nice-lady act to take a stab at troubled popstar Britney Spears, and the soon-to-be incarcerated socialite, Paris Hilton at the Academy of Country Music Awards last night.

The flame-haired songstress, who was hosting the ceremony in Vegas, showed that she has a knack for comedy when she served up barbs at the troubled stars' expense.

She poked fun at Spears' new bald look, joking, "I just got word that Britney Spears has formed a new country group - it's called Rascal Flat-Top." But it was her Paris gag that left some audience members taking a sharp intake of breath.

She joked, "She's had a rough time lately; she lost her dog, lost her man, got drunk and now she's going to jail. Let's just face it, she's living a country song."
