Prison Break actor pleads guilty
Lane Garrison who starred in the Five and Fox drama series Prison Break, has pleaded guilty to manslaughter charges over car crash that left a teenage school student dead.
26 year old Garrison admitted to the vehicular manslaughter without gross negligence as well as drink-drive charges related to the crash last year in California.
If Mr Garrison is convicted, he faces upto six years and eight months in jail when he returns to court on August 2nd. The actor played character Tweener in the Fox series, which also airs on Five in the UK.
A hospital test revealed Mr Garrison was two times over California's limit for alcohol in the blood stream while driving, Police said. Garrison did not comment after the hearing at the Beverly Hills superior Court.
The actor had been driving his landrover when it left the road and struck a tree. No other vehicles were involved. Garrison suffered only minor injuries i the crash, but one of his three passengers. teenager Vahagn Setian. later died.
Mr Garrison has also been charged with providing alcohol to a minor.
