Britney Spears’ pop career gets a helping hand

It has been reported that Britney Spears’ shelved comeback into “pop-super-stardom” has been given a helping hand by top music producer Sean Garret, only a week after her publicist revealed record executives had pushed Spears’ comeback album back to 2008 - prompting reports early studio work was no good Garrett, who has just completed sessions with Spears, insists the singer has created another pop masterpiece.

He told Billboard.com, “I’ve got this one record I’ve been holding for 10 months that everyone has tried to buy, but I stayed with Britney on it. I guarantee it will shake up the world. (more…)

Paris Hilton to give business tips to budding entrepreneurs?

Socialite Paris Hilton is reportedly set to pass on her “business tips” to budding entrepreneurs, after an educational institute offered her $1 million for the privilege.

The reality TV star - who was released from a California jail this Tuesday after serving 23-days behind bars for violating her probation - has set up several business ventures of her own under the names Paris Hilton Enterprises, Paris Hilton Entertainment, and Heiress Records. (more…)

The Spice Girls wanted to reunite for Diana concert

Newly reformed the pop band “The Spice Girls” have said that they had wanted to reunite for Sunday’s Concert for Diana but it was made impossible by the girls’ conflicting schedules. (McDonald’s probably needed Baby Spice to do a couple of shifts at the weekend)

The Girls have reunited for a World Tour, which is due to take place at the end of 2007, but the original five members of the group: Victoria ‘Posh Spice’ Beckham; Melanie ‘Scary Spice’ Brown; Geri ‘Ginger Spice’ Halliwell; Emma ‘Baby Spice’ Bunton and Melanie ‘Sporty Spice’ Chisholm wanted to make their first comeback appearance on Sunday.

Chisholm says: “We would have loved to have been there this weekend but the timing has been impossible for us.” (more…)

Paris Hilton defends Britney Spears

Paris Hilton has leaped to the defence of Britney Spears’ parenting ability - insisting she is a great mother.

Speaking to CNN’s Larry King on Wednesday- in her first interview since being released from jail on Tuesday, Hilton insists her pop pal is “a good mom” but finds it hard to deal with all the media attention.

She says: “She’s a sweet girl. She’s a good mom. She loves her children.

“I’ve seen her with her kids. She loves her kids. And I think its hard for anyone when you’re in the spotlight so much. Its very overwhelming at such, like, a young age.”

Spears’ parenting has been under scrutiny since she was seen driving with her then 19-month-old child Sean Preston on her lap last year. She has another son Jayden James.
