Daniel Craig is the highest paid British actor

"Casino Royale" star Daniel Craig has become the U.K's highest-paid actor - after signing a multi-million dollar deal with bosses of the 'James Bond' franchise.

The British actor has committed to appear in a further two Bond movies, for which he got $10 million for - and then he'll earn a whopping $16 million for each film, respectively.

After Craig's appearance in Casino Royale helped the movie become the biggest-grossing Bond outing ever, making over $600 million at the box office.

The $26 million sum is over twice the amount Daniel originally negotiated with Bond production agency Eon, according to British newspaper the Sunday Express.
