Pete Doherty checks into rehab

Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty has, again checked into rehab in another vein attempt to conquer drug addiction and avoid going to prison.

The troubled British rocker was ordered by the judge to either attend rehab by August 7th, or face jail - after recently pleading guilty in a London court to drug possession charges relating to an arrest in May this year.

Doherty arrived at the Detox 5 clinic in Harrogate, England, on Monday - exactly one week after his initial visit - and signed up to the $6,00 intensive five-day program to kick his heroin addiction.

After spending his first night in rehab, Doherty is more positive about his stay.

Doherty's spokesman told reporters: "It's going well."
