Paris Hilton buys a puppy from the same place as Britney

Socialite Paris Hilton has infuriated animal rights activists by purchasing yet another pet Chihuahua, this time from the same Beverly Hills store where Britney picked up her new dog last week, and named it 'London'.

People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals and America's Humane Society joined forces to condemn Spears' pet shop purchase - and now Hilton has followed suit.

Hilton claimed the male Chihuahua from Pets of Bel Air on Wednesday, according to reports.

And it seems the animal activists are fighting a losing battle when it comes to persuading stars not to buy puppies from pet stores - Limp Bizkit star Fred Durst has also recently bought a Chihuahua from the same store as Britney and Paris, who have previously given homes to a Yorkshire terrier and a Chihuahua called Tinkerbell.
