Victoria Beckham wants to open a clothes shop

Word has it that Victoria Beckham is hoping to open her own designer clothes store in her new hometown of Los Angeles.

The 33-year-old wife of David Beckham has called upon her A-List pals, Katie Holmes and Eva Longoria to get help in setting up the shop on the city's trendy Melrose Avenue, selling items from her "dVb" range of jeans, sunglasses and handbags.

A source told British tabloid newspaper 'The People': "Victoria wants to ensure she is as much of a fashion icon in the States as in the U.K. and this seems the ideal way to do it... if Victoria pulls it off it will do wonders to boost her status."
