Kevin Federline had said that since his divorce from Britney Spears, he wants to focus his efforts entirely on raising their two sons; in a secure environment away from the paparazzi. Fed's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, said that the budding rapper wants to give two his sons the opportunity to "pretend they're like everyone else."
Kevin and Britney became officially divorced on Monday this week. The pair are to share custody of their two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. "When they are with him, he is going to shield his children from the unwanted media attention. You will not find a picture of Kevin parading with the children out in a public place," Kaplan says.

Although Kaplan said Federline refuses to address Spears' wild behavior, reports say that Federline isn't pleased with Spears, and feels that she is not in a fit state to look after & care for their sons. Federline reportedly wants full custody of the boys.

He doesn't want to do anything that would be perceived as taking her down a peg. His goal is to keep things between him and Britney private," Kaplan said. "There's a proper forum to discuss issues with a co-parent. That place is not in the public eye"

The pop princess recently is accused of threatening to kill a photographer outside a spa in Las Vegas. Spears married Federline in October 2004 and filed for divorce on November 7, 2006.

As for Federline, Kaplan said, He's focused right now on being the best parent that he can be.
