Pete Doherty refusing to talk to Mother

Troubled British rocker Pete Doherty has said he is refusing to speak to his Mother, because he still feels betrayed by her decision to write a tell-all book about his life.

Jacqueline Doherty wrote the book, 'Pete Doherty, My Prodigal Son: A Child in Trouble, a Family Ripped Apart - The Extraordinary Story of a Mother's Love in August of last year, detailing her son's battle with drug addiction and the entire family's struggle to cope.

But Doherty insists that he knew nothing of the Book prior to its release, and has suffered a fraught relationship with his mother ever since.

He says, "Me and mum are not on speaking terms after she wrote a book about me. It kills me. I love her but things are very strained and difficult just now.

"I felt a bit betrayed to be honest., about what she did. We have a lot of issues to sit down and sort through. I'm an emotional guy and just talking about it is difficult."
