Budding rapper Kevin Federline has said that he will never criticize ex-wife Britney Spears in public, insisting that any issues he has, or may have to discuss with her will be done in private.

Britney's parenting have been criticized in the media lately, and her recent behavior on video and photo shoots have raised questions about her emotional state.

Kevin and Britney's marriage officially ended this week, after just 33 months. They split last November, just two months after the birth of Jayden James.

K-Fed's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan admits his client treats his two boys very differently from their mother. The couple share custody of the two boys.

Kaplan says, "When they are with him, he is going to shield his children from unwanted media attention. You will not find a picture of Kevin parading with the children out in a public place.

"He's focused right now on being the best parent that he can be.

"He doesn't want to do anything that would be perceived as taking Britney down a peg. His goal is to keep things between him and Britney private. There's a proper forum to discuss issues with a co-parent. That place is not in the public eye."
