Michael Lohan blames himself for Lindsay's troubles

Michael Lohan, the father of troubled actress Lindsay Lohan is blaming himself for his daughter's current legal woes, because he feels he "led by the wrong example".

Lindsay Lohan was arrested in Los Angeles on July 24th this year, and charged with DUI - for the second time in two months - and was also charged for possession of cocaine.

Michael Lohan, who has himself served a number of prison sentences, most recently for attempted assault and driving without a license - sympathizes with his 21-year-old daughter, because he knows how difficult it can be to deal with the consequences of such actions.

He tells the New York Post's gossip column Page Six, "Anyone would be afraid to face this situation. I feel responsible for what happened. I led by the wrong example."
