Ryan Phillippe denies reports he and Reese are back together

Hollywood actor Ryan Phillipe has stepped in to deny reports that he and 'Legally Blond' actress Reese Witherspoon are giving their marriage another chance after the couple were spotted lunching together.

Ryan & Rees split in October 2006 after six years of marriage and two children together. They are currently in the middle of divorce proceedings.

Recent reports have suggested the former couple had been seen jogging, shopping and lunching together in Brentwood, California, with an unnamed friend saying, "Reese and Ryan are trying to work it out. They are still close."

However, a spokesperson for the Gosford Park actor tells the New York Post, "It's not true.
