Liza Minnelli threw a tantrum in a New York Store after being mistaken for her dead mother, Judy Garland.

The 61-year old actress was approached by an employee who asked her, "Has anyone ever said you look like Judy Garland?", a fellow shopper told the New York Daily News newspaper yesterday.

After firstly making a remark about the similarities which was coldly rejected by Minnelli, the confused employee asked her if she actually was the deceased 'Wizard of Oz' star.

This led Minnelli, who was obviously hurt, to leave the shop, throwing her 'panties' down and quoting: "I've got to get out of here!"
