Police launch investigation over sexual assault at the Playboy Mansion
Police have launched an investigation due to claims of a sexual assault that has reportedly taken place at Hugh Hefner's Playboy Mansion. Los Angeles police are refusing to release details regarding the case or investigation. A spokesman for the police department said, for reasons of law and confidentiality that are critical in such investigations, no additional information will be released.
Playboy officials aren't aware of investigation details either, but their publicist said the investigation may be of a confrontation at Hugh Hefner's Midsummer Night's dream party on Saturday. "We obviously take this very seriously and we want to help anyway we can, a Playboy publicity director said.
A woman reportedly had a restraining order against a man. The man tried talking to her, and security was notified.
