Police launch investigation over sexual assault at the Playboy Mansion

Police have launched an investigation due to claims of a sexual assault that has reportedly taken place at Hugh Hefner's Playboy Mansion. Los Angeles police are refusing to release details regarding the case or investigation. A spokesman for the police department said, for reasons of law and confidentiality that are critical in such investigations, no additional information will be released.

Playboy officials aren't aware of investigation details either, but their publicist said the investigation may be of a confrontation at Hugh Hefner's Midsummer Night's dream party on Saturday. "We obviously take this very seriously and we want to help anyway we can, a Playboy publicity director said.

A woman reportedly had a restraining order against a man. The man tried talking to her, and security was notified.
