Nicole Richie is at "high risk" of a miscarriage

Friends of the reality TV star say that she was very scared and thought she was going to lose the baby. Doctors reassured her the baby was fine, but encouraged her to eat more. They said Richie suffered from nutritional deficiency. 

Experts say that Richie's health makes her pregnancy risky. Troy Hailparn, an ob-gyn who hasn't treated Richie, said: She is absolutely at a greater danger of miscarrying than most women. Through some miracle, she managed to get pregnant and survive the first trimester, when most women with her history would suffer a miscarriage but she's not out of the woods yet.
