Latest James Bond film comes under fire

Producers on the latest James Bond movie have come under fire from animal rights activists over fears that horses may be injured or killed.

The new film, "Bond 22" reaches its climax against the backdrop of historic bareback horse race the Palio, which takes place in the Tuscan hill town of Siena, Italy.

The race is renowned for being extremely dangerous and campaigners are predicting horses will be at risk of injury or even death during filming.

They claim that 50 horses have died in the race since 1970 with many more maimed.

Shooting on the scene is due to commence Tomorrow (August 16th).

Bond 22 sees Daniel Craig reprise his role as 007 and is the follow up to smash hit "Casino Royale". Judi dench is back as M, Marc Foster is on directing duties and Paul Haggis has once again penned the script.

It's rumoured that the movie will deal with Bond's revenge over the death of Vesper Lynd and Eva Green may make ana appearance in flashback.
