Staff at The White House don't know who David Beckham is

When David Beckham took a tour of the home of US President George W Bush, he wasn't recognized staff at The White House.

Beckham was enjoying a VIP tour of the Oval Office with his new LA Galaxy teammates last week, but despite the stir his move caused Stateside, most people were blissfully unaware of who David was.

The secretary to President George W. Bush even asked if David (Who, is probably one of the most photographed men in the world) was related to one of her colleagues.

A source said: "She didn't recognize him and asked if he was a relative of a staff member. It was all rather embarrassing."

Since relocating to the US 32-year-old David and his Spice Girl wife Victoria have launched a massive publicity campaign.

The couple have conducted numerous separate TV interviews, and posed together for a racy photo shoot for W magazine.
