British popstar, Lily Allen, has been forced to cancel her US tour following complications with her work visa took too long to resolute.

The popular 'Smile' singer, who has been known for her bitching and bold statements in the press, is apparently extremely disappointed and upset about her forced cancellation.

Her spokesman said the process of reinstating her papers had "proven lengthier than anticipated". The problems began earlier this month when she was rejected a flight and it has been confirmed the cause of her rejection is due to her confrontation with a photographer in London.

The 22-year-old said: "I'm so disappointed. I want my fans to know that I'll be back as soon as I possibly can."

However, she is still nominated as 'Best Newcomer' in the MTV Awards in Las Vegas, despite the star being unable to perform. Furthermore, it appears likely that Allen will win the award.
