Amy Winehouse's father: "Proud"

According to new reports, Amy Winehouse's father has declared himself "proud" of her daughter's attempts to kick her drug habit.

However, you question his judgement. Seeing her collapse because of a binge of alcohol and drugs does make you wonder what Mitch Winehouse's definition of "pride" really is!

He did admit though, that she had problems, but insisted that she and her husband Blake Fielder-Civil will come through their troubles.

Mitch also denied rumours of a rift with Blake's parents Giles and Georgette, explaining that both families "are delighted Amy and Blake have decided to deal with their health issues".

He added: "I'd also like to sincerely thank Giles and Georgette for all their efforts and support."
