Nelly Furtado to perform at MTV's VMAs

"Promiscuous Girl" singer Nelly Furtado has agreed to perform at this year's MTV Video Music Awards show on Sept. 9th, further solidifying a lineup that includes Rihanna, Fall Out Boy, Kanye West, Timbaland, Foo Fighters, T-Pain and British singer Amy Winehouse.

Nelly Furtado, who recently became engaged to her long term partner is up for female artist of the year after she scorched the charts in 2006 with her album Loose. The album featured two tracks that hit number one in the U.S, "Promiscuous" and "Say it Right"

Furtado has some tough competition in the category as she shares billing with Amy Winehouse, Rihanna, Beyonce and Fergie.
