Pete Doherty arrested just hours after V Festival

Pete Doherty has done it again. The Babyshambles frontman has been arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs, just hours after performing at the V Festival.

Doherty did appear on stage, but four hours late, due to travel difficulties.

According to police sources, Doherty was then arrested in Tower Hamlets in London at about 2 o'clock this morning when his car was pulled over by police.

He is now said to be held in custody at an east London police station. A Scotland Yard spokesperson said: "A 28-year-old man was arrested in east London on suspicion of possession of drugs.

Showbiz Spy says: It's obvious he'll never learn. He gets chance after chance; he doesn't seem to listen. They should just put him in prison where he belongs, because it is obvious he doesn't want to help his problem!
