Rolling Stones to finally call it a day

Rolling Stones

Exclusive new reports tell Showbiz Spy that the Rolling Stones will finally quit touring.

The group are believed to have declared that their 'Bigger Bang Tour' will be their last because frontman Sir Mick Jagger will be too old by the time the next one materializes along with guitarist Keith Richards.

Jagger, 64, and Richards, 63, will be in their late 60s by the time the group tour again, therefore deciding to call it a day on their massive career dating back to 1962.

A source said: "We've been told this will be the last tour. Embarking on a Stones world tour takes years to plan. Mick and Keith would be in their late 60s by the time they would be ready to rock once more."

Mick, Keith, drummer Charlie Watts, 66, and guitarist Ronnie Wood, 60, end their massive two-year tour this week with three dates at the new O2 Arena, with their final performance on Sunday.

The band have been hugely successful in the UK and US, selling 200 million album copies, and remaining the most successful touring rock band of all time.

Showbiz Spy says: And we thought the stones would keep rolling...we'll miss you!

As a Stones fan of 42 years,

As a Stones fan of 42 years, I don't think I'll know what to do with myself if there won't be any more Stones concerts to look forward to. I know that I speak for millions of other fans all over the world too! The Rolling Stones have always been there for us, always putting on a spectacular show every time. We will miss them terribly, but, all good things must come to an end eventually, and they most certainly deserve the right to retire.
