Pete Doherty Escapes Drug Charges Due to "Technicality"

Badboy British rocker Pete Doherty clearly knows his rights; at least he knows his rights when it comes to drug charges - and when he wasn't ushered in front of a judge within 24 hours of his Monday morning arrest he knew that he had managed to dodge the bullet.

The train wreck ex-boyfriend of British supermodel Kate Moss was pulled over early Monday morning in east London following his performance at the "V Festival" with his band, "Babyshambles".

Pete Doherty had been on bail following a previous drug charge leveled against him but he avoided any punishment for his recent arrest after Judge Susan Williams revealed that Anyone arrested for a breach of bail must be brought before the court and dealt with in a 24-hour period.
