Simon Cowell
British music mogul & American Idol judge, Simon Cowell is reportedly set to write an "American Idol" movie and says it will be very, very realistic.

Cowell, famous for his scathing put downs, will cast the lead roles in the movie by open auditions like they do for the show. "I'm going to cast the lead parts through an open audition process across America. So if you get through the auditions, and you get a part in this movie, it's a huge, huge deal", Cowell said.

The movie is called Starstruck, Cowell says. We're writing the script as we talk.

It's about 10 contestants who enter a gigantic singing contest. It's like Rocky. It's about good versus evil, and it will be very, very realistic.

Meanwhile, Simon Cowell has hit out at Britney Spears, hinting that Britney's friends might be at blame for her dramatic downfall. Offering a word of advice Simon added: I'd tell her to look at the people around her. If she'd been living with her parents I don't think she'd be like she is now.
