Zac Efron turned down 'High School Musical' movie role
It has been reported that "High School Musical" star Zac Efron has turned down the offer to star in the big-screen version of Disney's TV hit. Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, his co-star and girlfriend, where reportedly offered $1 million dollars to do the movie, but allegedly are not going to do it.
A source with Disney has claimed that they are only offering them $1 million each that the pair aren't going to do it.
A spokesperson for Disney has said: "We are still in negotiations with the entire cast, but we don't comment on the specifics of negotiations.
"High School Musical 2" recently premiered on TV, and broke TV records. The soundtrack has topped the Billboard charts.

Oh please, I think everyone who stays current KNOWS this is false information. They've told the press, fans, and everyone else about a million times now that they want to see the script (which isn't finished, I might add) before they say anything in this matter. It's not about the money, it's whether it'll be fun to film. Zac's said himself that these rumors about getting paid X amount of cash are false.
