Britney Spears investigated over allegations of child abuse

Troubled popstar Britney Spears is being investigated for child abuse by the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services. Spears was not present at the unscheduled hearing held today at tje L.A. County Superior Court, but her lawyer, and her ex-husband Kevin Federline’s attorney was present. Details of the investigation have not been released.

Spears is embroiled currently in a custody battle with ex Federline. As of now the recently divorced couple share joint custody of their two sons, but now Federline is seeking primary custody. A hearing in the case is set for September 4. Federline has subpoenaed Spears former assistant, cousin and bodyguard to testify on her mothering skills.
