Britney Spears no longer under investigation, pheww!

Britney Spears has been cleared of danger to her dogs following an Animal Rights investigation.

The troubled, temporarily bald singer is no longer on the dog welfare hit list.

Officials at the Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals in Los Angeles launched their investigation last week (ends24Aug07) after reports surfaced that the pop star's two young sons were responsible for Yorkshire terrier London's broken leg.

But the Spca has confirmed Spears is a model dog owner and she's no longer on the dog welfare hit list.

An insider reveals the authorities contacted the vet who treated the little dog for a fracture to one of its legs.

The source tells U.S. news show Access Hollywood that someone accidentally stepped on the dog at Spears' California home, and reports of manhandling by the singer's boys was all wrong.
