Kate Hudson "distraught" Owen Wilson attempted suicide

Actress Kate Hudson was said-to-be distraught when she heard about her ex-boyfriend, Owen Wilson’s suicide attempt and hospitalization. Hudson reportedly dashed from the set of her new movie “Bachelor No. 2” and was "whisked" to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where Wilson is receiving treatment.

Reports have suggested that Wilson’s alleged suicide attempt may have been because of his break up with Hudson. The pair where co-stars in the comedy “You, Me, and Dupree” and split in May. Some blame Wilson for the end of Hudson’s marriage to Chris Robinson. The actress is currently dating ‘Employee of the Month’ star Dax Shepard.

“She looked upset,” a source said of Hudson. “She was on the phone, pacing back and forth. Then her handlers came out, and covered her with an umbrella, and she was ushered into a waiting SUV and she took off.”

Wilson released a statement yesterday asking for privacy and time to 'heal.'

"I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time," Wilson said in the statement.

Meanwhile, Kate Hudson's big brother, ‘Rules of Engagement’ star Oliver Hudson, just became a father. He and wife Erinn Bartlett welcomed a baby boy name Wilder.
