Marco Pierre White launches attack on Jamie Oliver

Marco Pierre White has launched a scathing attack on Jamie Oliver’s school dinner initiative.

The hot-headed chef, who is hosting the new series of ITV’s Hell’s Kitchen, let rip to Heat magazine saying, “It’s all going pear-shaped. Some schools are now losing money and kids aren’t eating the food any more.”

Last year Jamie Oliver tackled the state of school dinners in an acclaimed TV series which saw him take over school meals in Greenwich and attempt to persuade the Government to improve standards.

And after a huge campaign, newspaper headlines and delivering a 300,000-signature petition, Tony Blair agreed to set new standards for school meals, and committed £280 million for proper ingredients, equipment and training.

Marco, who has a long-standing feud with Gordon Ramsay, looks determined to make another enemy.

He scoffed at publicity surrounding Jamie’s School Dinners campaign saying: “To take signatures off the internet and take them to Downing Street with a camera crew brings your motives into question.”

Offering some advice acid-tongued Marco added, “A better move is standing on Oxford Street collecting signatures, taking a little time out, and then going to Downing Street without a camera – that’s integrity.”

I cannot stand this ghastly,

I cannot stand this ghastly, greasy, dirty looking man. Watching him sweat over food absolutely turns my stomach. I think he has some brass neck putting the boot into Jaimie. At least Jaimie is trying to do something to address childhood obesity and to improve eating habits. Instead of attacking him, JPW would be better off showing some bloody support!
