David Beckham hopes to fulfill young Romeo's dream and score a goal for LA Galaxy

We've been waiting long enough, but David Beckham has had an emotional request from his son, Romeo, to score a goal for American soccer team, LA Galaxy.

Romeo, who turns 5 next week, would love his daddy to score; it will be a perfect birthday present for the young whippersnapper.

David Beckham has vowed to try his best for the young lad, but has now has a hard obstacle put in front of him.

The 32-year-old star recently sustained a knee injury and has yet to be told if he will be able to play.

A source told the Daily Star: "All of David's boys love to watch him play and Romeo will be thrilled if his dad can score on his birthday. David has told him he will give it his best shot."
