Michelle Williams and Heath Ledger break-up

According Us Magazine, Hollywood couple, Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams have ended their 2 and a bit year relationship.

Sources close to the couple told Us magazine that Heath and Michelle "quietly and amicably split a few weeks ago."

"The relationship had been rocky recently. They tried very hard to make it work but finally decided to separate. They just grew apart."

Ledger and Williams, who live in Brooklyn, New York and have a daughter, Mathilda, who is almost two, met on the set of 'Brokeback Mountain' in 2005.

"They have a beautiful daughter and they are both committed to being great parents."

Representatives for the couple could not be reached.
