Hotel staff searched Amy Winehouse's room for drugs everyday during her stay, according to exclusive reports.

The 'Rehab' singer was in a hotel in St Lucia, a day after walking out of rehab, accompanied by similarly troubled husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

Guests complained of funny smells coming from the £500-a-day suite, leading to hotel staff taking immediate action.

A source told British newspaper The Sun: "With their reputation it was no surprise management gave the room a thorough check daily. They would have been kicked out if there was evidence of drug use."
