George Clooney shows off new girlfriend at Venice film festival

Actor George Clooney has been showing off his new girlfriend, Sarah Larson at the Venice Film Festival, only days after he was rumored to be dating Monika Jakisic, a Croatian supermodel. Clooney showed up to the film festival with Sarah Larson, whose background is a mystery.

The pair were reportedly "inseparable" and kissed openly at the bash, where Clooney is promoting his new movie 'Michael Clayton.'

Clooney also used the film festival to throw his weight behind Barack Obama's presidential campaign, comparing Obama to being "like a rock star".

Clooney used the platform to praise the man he hopes will become America's first black president. He said: "You've been in a room once in a while with a rock star.

"He walks into the world, and he takes your breath away. I'd love him to be president, quite honestly.
