George Michael plans Christmas hit for re-formed Spice Girls

George Michael

George Michael is to write a Christmas song for the 'Old Spices', to see if the group can get to No.1 at the first time of asking.

The Spice Girls are apparently delighted to be in talks with George Michael. They should be, as they can't write any of their own songs, because they don't like to do things for themselves.

A source said: "The girls are thrilled to be in talks with George.

"If it happens, this year's Christmas number one will be a two-horse race between the Spice Girls and the 'X Factor' winner."

But can the girls beat the promising 'X Factor' winner for the No.1 spot in the UK charts?

Simon Cowell has insisted that this year's X Factor is the best ever, and has hinted that he's confident that the winner will get pole position in the charts.

The singer has enjoyed 10 UK number ones, while his world famous festive single 'Last Christmas' with Wham! reached number two in 1984.

Whereas the Spice Girls have topped the UK charts on nine occasions, including three times at Christmas.

So, they are in hope the combination can be a killer, and clinch that massive Christmas No.1. I can't believe we're talking about Christmas already.
