Amy Winehouse: "I won't end up dead"

Following on from reports that troubled British singer Amy Winehouse and husband Blake Fielder-Civil could come to an untimely end - due to a drugs overdose, Winehouse has insisted that they “won’t end up dead” because they both “have everything to live for.”
The couple's family have expressed fears that Blake and Amy will die of drugs overdose, after they both refused to seek help. Winehouse’s father-in-law predicts the couple will die like ‘Sex Pistols’ musician Sid Vicious and his girlfriend Nancy Spungen. The couple tragically died with Spungen bleeding to death from a stab wound that is believed to have been inflicted by a drug dealer. Vicious died later of a drug overdose, and the same drug dealer is blamed for his death.
“We are not going to end up dead like Sid and Nancy,” Winehouse insists. “We are not going to end up like them. We’re in love and have everything to live for.”
Fielder-Civil claims the media has exaggerated their drug addictions but admits some things have gotten out of hand. “We vehemently deny the stuff about drugs. It’s speculation – its rubbish. We admit things have been a little crazy and have to change. We’re going to sort ourselves out,” he says.
The couple recently was photographed “bloody and bruised” running out of a hotel. Winehouse was apparently running from Fielder-Civil after a reported fight. She denies she got any of the cuts or bruises from her husband.
