The lawyer of troubled pop princess Britney Spears confirmed on Tuesday that her client has been cleared over recent complaints to child welfare workers.

At the hearing over Britney & Kevin's custody battle, attorney Laura Wasser said that: "It does not appear the county will pursue any action at this time" The hearing then went into private session, People.com reports.

After the hearing, Laura Wasser told People magazine that she doesn't who complained to welfare workers about Britney's treatment of her sons, but "Is trying to find out"

Officials at the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services have declined to comment, and Britney's lawyer has refused to describe the nature of the complaints.

Court officials say there will be at least three more court hearings this year in the custody dispute between Spears and Federline, including appearances Nov. 26 and Dec. 18 to review independent evaluations by the court and to consider Federline's request for primary custody of sons Sean Preston, 2, and 1-year-old Jayden James.
