Sherri Shepherd to join 'The View'

It has been announced that Sherri Shepherd is set to be the newest host on ABC’s chat show ‘The View.’ The show recently welcomed Whoopi Goldberg, replacement for former host Rosie O’Donnell.

Host Barbara Walters announced Wednesday that there would be another permanent host joining the show on September 10, and a source confirms Shepherd will be filling the position saying, “It’s her!”

Shepherd will join Walters, Goldberg, Joy Behar, and Elisabeth Hasselbeck for the 11th season of the show.

A spokesperson from ABC would not confirm or deny Shepherd will be a permanent host and said “an official announcement will come Monday on The View as promised Wednesday by Barbara Walters.”
