Shia LaBeouf lets slip the name of new Indiana Jones movie

Actor Shia LaBeouf revealed the name of the fourth installment of the 'Indiana Jones' movie at Sunday's MTV VMAs.

LaBeouf, who stars alongside Harrison Ford and Cate Blanchett in hotly-anticipated movie - let slip that the new film is-to-be called 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull'.

Whilst presenting the an award at the Las Vegas ceremony, he said: "I've been sworn to secrecy by Steven Spielberg and George Lucas to not tell you the title of the next 'Indiana Jones' movie, but I'm 21 now, so, it's 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull'."

The star then accepted the prize on behalf of  singer Fergie, saying: "I am going to take this award then. This is my award. Word."

Paramount Pictures quickly issued a statement following LaBeouf's revelation, insisting he had their full backing to make the announcement.

'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull', which began shooting in June, will be released on May 22, 2008.
