Alicia Silverstone's naked Peta advert banned
The naked 'Peta' advert, starring Alicia Silverstone has been banned, it has been reported.
The campaign, which proves Alicia would rather strip off than eat meat after fronting a pro-vegetarianism campaign, was set to debut in Texas Wednesday, but Comcast Cable pulled the 30-second spots from the airwaves.
In the advert, Silverstone, steps out of a swimming pool, nude and talking about the benefits of a vegetarian lifestyle.
She says, "I wasn't always a vegetarian, but I've always loved animals.
Physically, the effect has been amazing.
"There's nothing in the world that's changed me as much as this. I feel so much better and have so much more energy."
However, People.com reports that a spokesperson for Comcast cited nudity in their decision to cancel the campaign, though the clips had already been paid for.
The commercial was directed by Dave Meyers, who has directed more than 180 music videos, including rapper Missy Elliott's Work It and Lose Control promos.
