Nicole Richie terrified she won't be able to cope as a mother

Pregnant socialite Nicole Richie is reportedly scared that she won't be able to cope with parenthood.

Richie, who is expecting her first child with 'Good Charlotte' rocker Joel Madden is said to be worried that her generous Hollywood upbringing hasn't prepared her for the demands of being a Mother.

A Source close to the 'Simple Life' star said:  "Her major concern is whether she can cope. Nicole has spent most of her life, since her early teens, partying, making big money in TV and being treated as a celebrity. Now she's got to open up to the most important person in her life - her baby."

Earlier this week, Madden said that he is prepared to Marry Richie, he told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM radio show: "Obviously marriage is in our future, I don’t know when or where or how, but right now our priority is our family and is the baby.”

He added: “That’s all we’ve been thinking about. We are in love and are really happy.”
