David Beckham's Dad suffers heart attack

David Beckham's Dad, 59-year-old Ted Beckham, is reported to have suffered a near fatal heart attack, and sources say he died en route to hospital - but was resuscitated by the crew.

British newspaper The Sun has reported that a worried David Beckham was told of the news whilst in Los Angeles and decided to fly home to be with his family.

David Beckham was allegedly  whisked straight to airport security without checking in.

An eyewitness said: "He was wearing sunglasses but you could tell he had been crying”.

David's sister, Joanne is said-to-be staying with their father at the London Chest Hospital in Bethnal Green.

A source close to the Beckhams said: “David’s dad suffered a heart attack. It was all very sudden.

“This is a huge shock to David who is now preparing to fly home.”

A hospital source said: “Ted was in a bad way and actually died on his way to hospital. The paramedics managed to bring him back.

“He was further stabilised in hospital before being transferred.”
