Lindsay Lohan's dad returning for 5-day stay

Lindsay Lohan's estranged father Michael is returning for 5-days in a Utah Mountain, according to reports today.

"It can only help her recovery," Lohan's mom Dina tells People.com in an e-mail. "It's time to mend."

She adds, "He is visiting Lindsay alone because we are giving her dad a chance to make amends." A protection order against her former spouse, she says, precludes both parents spending time together with their daughter simultaneously.

Their relationship improved last month, after the two kissed and made up. The pair have had nothing but trouble in the last three years, and the relationship has been "turbulant".

The divorce of Michael and Dina didn't help either, forcing Lohan to go over the edge and end up in rehab.
