Spice Girls' new track called 'Headlines'

Geri Halliwell has reportedly let slip the name of the Spice Girls' new comeback record - it's called 'Headlines'

35-year-old Halliwell revealed that the new song is to be a love song and the band [Spice Girls] were so convinced it would be a hit they started work on it before they got the go-ahead from their management.

Geri Halliwell recently appearing appeared on British morning television show GMTV, where she told presenters Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard: "I'm not sure if I'm going to get in trouble for telling you this, because I haven't discussed it with the other girls, but I'm going to give you a world exclusive.

"The Spice Girls new single is finished and it's out on the 19th November and it's called Headlines. It's absolutely amazing."

Halliwell continued: "Emma and I initially worked on it with the original writers we used to collaborate with, and the girls chipped in later on, adding lyrics. It's a Spice Girls classic I'm so proud of it. Before we got the final yes from everyone Emma and I started the words. The others loved it."

The girls are due to kick off their 14-date world tour in LA this December.

This week, British newspaper the Mirror reported that the newly reformed band had delayed the release of their new greatest hits album until November 12 so it would not clash with Westlife's latest record coming out.
