Simon Cowell shows support for breast cancer campaign
Simon Cowell has reportedly publicly backed the 'Against Breast Cancer' campaign in which he shows a softer side to his bitchy personality.
The X Factor judge has funded his own earnings into this campaign, saying that he is in full support of something like this.
"One in nine women in the UK will be diagnosed with breast cancer and most of us know someone who has suffered from the disease. We want to highlight this in the '1 in 9' campaign to remind women to continue to check themselves on a regular basis," said Anne Byard, the organisation's head of fundraising.
Cowell's mother was diagnosed with the deadly disease, and so, shows that the acid tongued slag has something nice to say for once.
He now sends a message to say, instead of buying the traditional poster for breast cancer, to instead buy a virtual greetings card, which will result in larger funding for the cause.
He continued: "I really admire Against Breast Cancer's work. Their aim is to develop a breast cancer vaccine. In addition their five year diet and lifestyle study will lead to helpful advice that will increase survival after breast cancer."
