Bobby Brown has heart attack

According to reports, singer Bobby Brown was hospitalized - after sufferung a mild heart attack.

According to People.com, the former lover of troubled singer Whitney Houston is in "great spirits" and hopes to perform this weekend, his rep said on Wednesday.

His rep said: "He's recovering nicely,"

She added: "We thank everybody for their thoughts and prayers. We really appreciate the outpouring of support."

Brown, 40, felt chest pains Tuesday afternoon and "was rushed to the hospital," Parks says. By Wednesday morning, he was in "great spirits and has a great prognosis from his doctors." He was expected to be released later in the day.

Brown thanked fans for their good wishes and still intends to perform at the at the V100 Taste of Soul festival in Los Angeles this weekend.

"He just wants the fans to know that he is definitely going to come back full speed ahead," Parks said.
